Data

NeoTropTree, or NTT, is an interactive database originally created on Access environment and containing tree species checklist prepared for sites distributed across the Neotropical Biogeographic Region. NTT was compiled over 25 years (1992-2017) by Ary Oliveira-Filho, a former professor at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Belo Horizonte, Brazil),
The interfaces here provide access to the data from a geographical or a taxonomic perspective.

The geographical approach allows you to drill down into individual sites by specify one or all of the following information.
  • Country
  • State
  • Phytogeographic Domain (N.B. Phytogeographic Domains span multiple countries and states.)
A complete species checklist for each site as well as details of Vegetation, Bioclimate and substrate is available for each site and can be downloaded.

The taxonomic approach allows you to drill down onto summary details of tree species occurring within the neotropics by specifying family and or genus.
